Rules and Expectations
Privacy: It is important to keep the records of our patrons private. Privacy is respected in the library. Everyone should feel free to check out whatever they want without being judged.
Work Areas: circulation desk and workroom
Job Responsibilities listed in order of priority:
1. Customer Service: If a student of staff member needs help make sure they are taken care of first, referring them to Mrs. Onco as needed.
2. Circulation Activities: Check in all returned books, and check out books. Make sure students have turned in overdue books before they check out more books.
3. Walk Through: Walk through the library and push in chairs, pick up trash and reshelve any books and. Pay particular attention to your section, but help others out. Some class periods are busier than others.
5. Shelf Reading: At least once a week shelf read.
6. Other duties as assigned. Ask for something to do rather than look bored or try to sleep. You may work on homework, read or work in the MakerSpace if all your assigned duties are complete.
7. If you're falling behind in one (or more) of your classes, let me know and I'll give you time to work on assignments and help you if I can. School work comes first.

- No friends in these areas unless cleared by Mrs. Onco
- Place your backpack in the workroom out of view.
- Don't forget your things when you leave.
- No food or gum in the library
- All IMMS school rules will be followed.
